香港珠海学院 | 资讯科学学系之资讯科学(荣誉)理学士课程
本系为学生提供资讯科学之学术理论及专业技术知识,并侧重电脑硬件与软件的开发及研究。透过本系、私人资讯科技机构,及其他大学为期一年之资讯科学项目研究,赋予学生实际开发资讯系统之经验。毕业后,学生可拥有资科专业知识,以解决现有技术问题、迎接新挑战,创造新科技,为资讯科技作出贡献。
本课程经过精心设计,为拥有均衡之课程,课程内容广泛包括不同范畴,以「全人教育」为目标,侧重学生创新思维、分析能力、独立思考能力,及沟通技巧之均衡发展。学系冀望毕业生有广博之专业知识,并在德、智、体、群、美各方面,获均衡之发展。有见及此,学系为学生在四年之修读期内,提供广泛之博雅学科,如中国通史、中国现代史、人文学科、心理学及国际关系等。
本课程之科目,共分六大领域,包括资讯科学核心课程、软件开发、互联网系统、网络电脑系统、进阶资科课题与及毕业专案。所有科目以此六大范围划分,从而有系统及循序渐进的引领学生,发展其未来事业及学术研究。
资讯科学核心科目,作为深造及研究之基石,而软件开发、互联网系统、网络电脑系统帮助学生发展未来专业。资讯科学核心及进阶科目,为学生进修博硕士课程及从事研究工作,作好准备。

Taking account of the rapid development of IT and its influence on the development of high-value-added products and services, and having accumulated almost 50 years of operating post-secondary education experience and 14 years of professional IT training programme experience, our College made a right good start in providing a four-year degree programme in Computer Science since 1996 to offer more learning opportunities for secondary school graduates. Our degree programme has been accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) since 2002, which is fully recognized by the Hong Kong Government. Our track record identifies that Chu Hai College of Higher Education has already provided a large number of learning opportunities to nurture young people and to strengthen the capacity of the community to exploit the opportunities of the digital world; our degree programme graduates help solve the shortage of IT manpower in Hong Kong and help produce some significant impact on the fast economic growth of Hong Kong. Furthermore, our College expects every one of its graduates to possess knowledge and virtues, broad-mindedness, commitment, global vision, creativity and adaptability.

I would like to welcome you to our Department of Computer Science in Chu Hai College of Higher Education. It is my pleasure to take this opportunity to introduce to you our Computer Science Program and some of its unique features.
“Our programme” Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science (JUPAS Code: JSSC03)” has been included in the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP) 2018/19. It aims at providing in-depth professional knowledge in the area of computer science, software development, network and computer system and internet system. The programme includes different technical electives which can provide most up to date IT knowledge such as artificial intelligence, computer visions, virtual reality, Data-mining and multi-media information systems.
During the study period in our department, students will have opportunities to receive comprehensive training in the theory and practice of computer science and information technology. Starting from the learning of fundamental principles of computers, students are able to understand how computers function. With the help of software and hardware design concepts and theories, students are able to design software packages and network system for connecting computers to the internet.
Our academic staff are well qualified with Doctoral or Master degrees from local and overseas universities. They all have research experiences in the field of neural networks, image processing, digital signal processing, control theories and artificial intelligence.
Since theories have to be supported by actual implementation, our school’s computing facilities can enhance the learning experience of students.
Our final year projects also provide opportunities to students for develop their problem solving abilities. Students will gain experience in designing and implementing practical computer software and hardware systems. As we value practical experience as an important form of training, our college is able to arrange internship programs for students to work in major companies locally.
